Dive into Wyland's World
Celebrating Art, Nature, Family
- The past several years have been particularly exciting for Wyland, as an artist, and
as the founder of a fifteen year old non-profit organization dedicated to teaching
children around the world about the importance of protecting our oceans, lakes,
rivers, streams, and wetlands.
- A partner with the United Nations, community service groups and schools to work
together for the environment – the results have been breathtaking.
Greener Longer
- Wyland redefined today's "green consciousness" more than thirty years ago with his tireless efforts to promote conservation of our oceans, lakes, rivers, streams and wetlands.
- When it comes to organizations that people support and believe in, Wyland and the Wyland Foundation are at the top of the green list.
Raising a Global Consciousness

Moving Forward
- Wyland launched recent partnerships with DisneyNature, UNEP, NOAA, the National Park Service, AZA, the Smithsonian Institution, Rotary International,
Scripps Institution of Oceanography (UCSD)
- In partnership with Art Business News, Wyland launched the Global Green Artists Challenge, a year-long series of industry and public events to focus attention
on the relationship between the art industry and the environment. The challenge kicked off at the 2009 Art Expo in New York with the premier of new green-themed
artworks by artists from around the world and community-based art contests for children celebrating a sustainable environment.
- To honor his subjects, Wyland uses only environmentally friendly "green" inks, with fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and uses renewable materials whenever possible.
Reaching Communities

eliminating pollution.

community can make a world of difference to our ocean, lakes, rivers, and wetlands.
