The ergonomically advanced design of the Agility Paddles helps teach swimmers the correct palm positive hand position. Due to the paddles strapless design, incorrect technique will cause the paddle to fall off the swimmer’s hand. The Agility Paddles’ convex design also promotes an early catch and reminds the swimmer to maintain an early vertical forearm position. This versatile paddle works for all four strokes and accommodates most hand sizes. Not only are the Agility Paddles durable, but the absence of straps makes them more comfortable for the swimmers and easier for coaches, who no longer have to hassle with broken straps during practice.

I Have Used "Dinner Plate" Paddles for years and I recently got my hands on the Agility paddles. I think the agility paddles are fantastic the strapless design doesn't let you cheat the pull and entry phase of the stroke to swim fast! I did a 4000 M workout with them this week and I am starting to see some changes the next day without the paddles! Gotta Love muscle memory!

The agility paddle has been a "game changer" for the way my team uses paddles. With this paddle the swimmer experiences a proper catch and pullthrough in their stroke. With the use of this paddle we have reduced shoulder injuries with proper stroke. The paddle will not allow the swimmer to power through the improper stroke.

Great product. Aside from the benefits of learning to maintain "positive palm pressure" time is saved since there are no straps to be adjusted or replaced. The agility paddle has been very helpful in getting my swimmers to catch water at an appropriate angle in freestyle. The paddles have also aided them in keeping the finger tips down through the front half of the pull. For swimmers who do not have a great kinesthetic feel for the water they are an incredibly useful tool for developing proper hand position through most of the underwater phases of freestyle and butterfly!

Why didn't someone think of these before now? The design and idea are so simple! These paddles allow you to self-correct your strokes. Any elbow drop causes the paddles to start to fall off, with just the right amount of resistance on the shoulders. If you love these, you are swimming correctly. If you hate them, keep using them to improve and correct your stroke. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Agility paddles leave no hiding place for bad hand positioning, 'wrong' pull pathways, or dropped elbows. Agility paddles make effective technique compulsory. They bite back when mistakes are made; there are 'consequences to getting it wrong'; they may be the most developmental piece of personal equipment ever produced. Standing second only to goggles as the serious swimmer's best friend Agility paddles are a 'must have' if a swimmer wants to progress at accelerated rates.

I have recommended these paddles to many "non-swimmers" who are just getting into swimming for triathalons. The paddles give instantaneous feedback when there are ineffecient points in their stroke. This paddle has been a great addition for our team. It is durable and as a coach, I see that the paddle forces the kids to put their hands in the proper position. I like how quickly the kids can put them on - no fiddling with the black straps on our other paddles that disintegrate over time. The paddles can be used for all strokes effectively. They are by far my favorite training tool. Unfortunately, our team has not had enough money to purchase enough for a whole practice group, but I rotate who gets to use them. The only down side is that the swimmers complain of a sore thumb after use because the plastic seems to dig into the hand between the thumb and forefinger.

Our club loves these paddles. The shape and feel on the hand is ideal and promotes a proper position of the palm while pulling through the water. I personally describe the feel of the paddle as "soft". This means a gentle guide at entry, plus correct hand position throughout the pull phase must be emphasized or the paddle reminds you, that something is amiss. An additional benefit to those who are training outdoors, is that there are no rubber straps to break/dry-up/destroy in the hot sun. High quality material has survived the ultimate test of sun and chemicals.

My swimmers prefer these paddles over any of the others we have tried, my biggest complaint is that when I do pull sets of large yards, these paddles tear up my swimmers thumbs with the edge around the thumb hole. They are a little flimsy as I had a 12 yr old girl step on one and it broke. They don't quite work the upper body muscles as much as other paddles but they really help proper hand positioning.

Those are about the only negative things of these paddles. Everything is great!

Critical Analysis of product before/after trial Review by Straywolf
Price
Value
Quality

Agility paddles seemed like just another pool side accessory, only with a different material, and a different shape. I never used pull buoys, or hand paddles once I was able to swim for a nonstop hour. A elderly lifeguard, of 30 years experience also assured me that "There are many toys you can buy, but that does not mean that you can swim."
That was six years ago, when I soon discovered the swimming adventure was just beginning. SwiMP3 music player made this new challenge a normal part of my life, just as 5-10 mile hikes with music headphones, or bicycle riding for long distances are routine activities.
A FINIS representative explained these agility paddles to me, after I mentioned how the extreme intensity of the workout from two different models of swim fins.
I like to alternate days, with these fins, and having these agility paddles in my mesh FINIS pool gear bag would save time from borrowing a pool's flat hand paddles. I would soon discover that these agility paddles are part silent coach, and part steam shovel.
The swimmers snorkel, with agility paddles, and zoomer short fins is a good workout for ten laps. Next, I remove the fins and do another ten laps. Then, I remove the paddles, replace the fins, and do another ten laps. Another two laps makes one mile.

It takes awhile before you get the perfect fit from these agility fins, but you must concentrate on each entry, all the way to the knee before your stroke hand leaves the water.

This agility paddle is not a toy, and should not be used as a shortcut to gain speed in the pool. I find that a pleasant, a relaxed, and a slower but proper swim session with these agility paddles creates more of a workout sensation afterwards, than merely sprinting back and forth.

Great for beginners, but also something that advanced swimmers will appreciate. If you want to get the most, and a lot extra from swim sessions then these are the ones you need. I can assure you that once you try the, not only will you agree, but you will also ask yourself how you have done without them for so long.

Within a few laps, I could feel improvements in all my strokes. In particular, I was able to diagnose a subtle problem with my left arm freestyle almost immediately. A problem that has stymied several coaches and that I had not been able to figure out before.

Just a few laps with them every few workouts keep my stroke techniques in tune and, of course, have the strength-building benefits of all paddles.

I have used the Agility Paddles personally as well as coaching Age Group Swimmers and Adults.
It is amazing the positive effect I have seen with the swimmers that I work with.
Teaches the swimmer the feel of a positive hand action in all strokes.
For coaches, I would suggest you get a pair and try them on 2 or 3 swimmers that have basic free stoke flaws. I have observed positive changes in strokes after 1 or 2 laps of the pool. Walk alongside and observe. I think you will be impressed. While voluntary, the majority of my age group and adult swimmers now use them instead of any of the other hand paddles on the market.
