Since the SwiMP3® 2G has been released, we have received great feedback from our customers. Unfortunately, some of the feedback pointed out a bug in the firmware of the SwiMP3® 2G that affected MAC devices, particular those with OS X. (PC users were unaffected).
First, we want to say THANK YOU to all the loyal customers that provided feedback and testing for the new SwiMP3® 2G on a MAC. Your support has made a huge difference, as I am pleased to announce a new solution to the bug. The new firmware will fix the playback issues that were caused on MAC devices and everything should now function normally.
If you are a MAC user and are currently having playback issues on your SwiMP3® 2G, then you may be eligible for an upgrade. Please issue a ticket through our support department (www.finisinc.com/support). We will send you a shipping label for you to send the unit back to FINIS headquarters where we will upgrade it. We will then send the updated unit back to you. All shipping will be paid for by FINIS. (OR If you are tech-savvy and want to try and upgrade your SwiMP3® 2G at home and have a PC accessible, then ask our support department for the instructions on how to do so).
