Mashable Tech: the FINIS SwiMP3

If the next Michael Phelps is on your holiday shopping list, we’ve got the present for him or her.

The Finis SwiMP3 player brings music underwater so all those human-fish hybrids can finally jam out while doing laps. The player is completely waterproof (the sound actually is best when submerged) and stores approximately 500 songs (2GB).

And the best part — there are no headphones. The player works through bone conduction audio transmission, so all you have to do is attach the SwiMP3 to goggle straps and the player rests against the swimmer’s cheekbones. Music, podcasts, books are all then transmitted wirelessly.

The battery lasts for more than eight hours and guarantees fun at the pool, beach or maybe even on a very rainy day.

It costs $159.99, but, at the time of publication, it was currently out of stock on the company’s website.
