Helps develop upper body strength and proper alignment in the water during your workout. The buoy is held between the legs to neutralize the kicking motion and increase upper body strength.
Q. How big are they?
A. The senior is a normal size and the junior is a good size as well. The senior sizes seem to run a bit big so if you’re on the edge of both sizes it is probably wise to go with the Junior.

Q. What is the purpose of the pull buoy?
A. The purpose is to allow a swimmer completely focus on their arms during a swim. If you didn’t have a buoy your legs would sink and you would never be in the proper position for a stroke. So that’s why people use pull buoys. Bigger legs don’t necessarily need a bigger buoy. They are symmetrical, so they don’t really fit a certain. They should be placed mid thigh. And kicking should be minimized, some people still try to get it done.
